“This is a large estate that aims for an upscale experience, with its biggest draws being the two on-site golf courses and spa. It strikes me as a place where the Edwardian architecture and Northumberland setting are genuinely appealing, particularly if you want a self-contained getaway. While the service seems inconsistent, the extensive facilities mean you could easily fill a weekend without venturing beyond the grounds.”

The dinner service accommodated our group's special event. They allowed table decorations. the staff promptly brought out our cake and took photos. janice, our waitress, provided attentive service, even staying late to help with the bill. tom, the manager, was also helpful and contributed to a nice night.
The steep hill from the car park to reception was a bit challenging. It required a climb.

Wonderful Stay!

I found the staff to be friendly and professional. Abby was very attentive in the restaurant. The breakfast had plenty of choice. The room was clean and modern.
The walks around the estate could use better signs, as some areas were overgrown (I recommend wearing appropriate footwear).

Acceptable Stay Overall

friendly stafflovely spaincluded breakfastold roompoor bunkermany golfers
The location had beautiful grounds. Staff members were friendly. The spa was lovely. Its value felt very good. Breakfast was included, convenient. The chef prepared an extra breakfast to take to my room since my partner did not come down.
Rooms do need updating. This goes with the venue's aesthetics. The bunkers were poor on both golf courses. The golf side of things take on too many golfers. This squeezes as much in as they can.
